The PTE Listening portion is the last section of the test and, to score high you must understand PTE Listening format and structure.
And, the questions are all based on audio or video clips that will play on their own. Each audio or video clip will be played just once. You are, however, permitted to take notes.

PTE Listening: Summarize Spoken Text
This question type requires you to listen to a recording that is 60-90 seconds long and then write a 50 to 70-word summary in 10 minutes. Here your listening and writing skills are tested.
Each of the following categories will receive two points: topic, form, grammar, vocabulary, and spelling.
PTE Listening: Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers
The next question is a Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers exercise that will put your listening abilities to the test.
You will be provided material to assist you in answering the question, but you will only have 7 seconds to read it. After then, a recording lasting 40 to 90 seconds will be played.
Choose all of the responses that you simply believe are right. Each accurate selection will earn you one point, while each erroneous option will cost you one point. You can’t get a score of 0 or less.
PTE Listening: Fill in the Blanks
Fill in the Blanks questions put your listening and writing abilities to the test.
You’ll get 7 seconds to learn some information before hearing the recording, the same as in the prior challenge. You will be given 30 to 60 seconds to listen to a tape and write words into the blank spots as you hear them. Each right word with correct spelling earns you one point.
PTE Listening: Highlight Correct Summary
In the fourth question type, Highlight Correct Summary, you will have 10 seconds to peruse the alternatives before the recording begins.
You will be given 30 to 90 seconds to listen to a recording and pick one accurate response. For the erroneous answer, no points will be lost; your response will be noted as correct or incorrect. This section will put your listening and reading abilities to the test.
PTE Listening: Multiple Choice, Single Answer
You will be provided advice to read for context before listening to a recording that is between 30 and 60 seconds long.
Select the right answer that best fits your needs. This sort of inquiry will put your listening abilities to the test.
PTE Listening: Select Missing Word
To accomplish the challenge, you must listen to a tape that lasts 20 to 70 seconds and anticipate the last word or words of the text.
Your response is either accurate or incorrect, and no points are removed for incorrect responses. This portion will test your ability to listen.
PTE Listening: Highlight Incorrect Words
Before the recording begins, you will be provided information and given 10 seconds to comprehend it. You will be given 15 to 50 seconds to listen to a recording and choose the words that are inaccurate or do not fit the recording.
A right response will earn you a point, while an inaccurate answer will cost you a point. However, you will not receive a score of 0 or less. This part assesses your reading and listening abilities.
PTE Listening: Write from Dictation
This is the PTE Listening section’s last and final question type. You have seven seconds before the recording begins to understand the instructions.
The recording lasts 3 to 5 seconds, so listen and input the phrase in the answer box when it starts.
You’ll get a point for each accurate word. They must, however, be in the exact sequence and spelling. A point will not be deducted for incorrect wording. This section will assess your ability to listen and write.
