
What is PTE?
PTE stands for Pearson Test of English Academic. It can be defined as the new computer-based academic English language test which help to accurately estimate the Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing English ability of test takers who are non-native speakers of English and who is willing to study at institutions where English is the principal language of instruction.

About The Test
A secure Pearson test centre is required for you to complete a PTE Academic Test. It is not a written form test so you will use a computer and headset to listen to, read and respond to the questions.
This will be of 3 hours test session, where you can find three different parts: speaking and writing (together), listening and writing. There is also a provision of 10 minutes break between the reading and writing parts which is an optional. During the test, you will find 20 different question formats, ranging from multiple choices through to essay writing and interpreting information.
PTE Academic assesses real-life academic English, so that’s why you will hear experts through lectures, view graphs and charts. You will hear a different types of accents in the test from British and American to non-native speakers, so you will be listening different types of accents that you encounter in everyday life.
